After saying a heartfelt goodbye to his beloved wife of 61 years in 2013, Dagmar B. Hampton, and his sons Robert Ray Hampton and Ronald Marion Hampton, Marion continued to be the patriarchal figure for his remaining family. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Patrick Hampton (Sandy) and Carol Fecher (Steve). Marion's interests were as varied as they were enthusiastic. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy in the quiet moments by the water. A sports enthusiast, Marion's spirit was often lifted by the triumphs of his favorite team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His love for travel was shared with his wife Dagmar, with whom he explored the country in their RV, creating a tapestry of memories that he cherished deeply.
