Marion David Head

Mr. Marion David Head, age 71, of Bremen, passed away on July 4, 2024, at a local healthcare facility. He was born on August 4, 1952, in Carrollton, the son of the late Marion Callaway Head and Myrlene Wright Head. He worked 25 plus years at Southwire as a supply room supervisor, owned his own business for 10 years, Buy Rite Truck Parts and Service, and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and spending time with his grandchildren and children.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Coniece Harper, and two brothers, Danny Head and Chris Head.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Smith Head; children, Crystal Alred (Terry) of Bremen and Brandon Head (Kinickie) of Bremen; a sister, Connie and David Alexander of Alabama; grandchildren, Taylor Alred, Wesley Smith and Savannah Head; great-grandchildren, Carter Alred, Lucas Smith and Ryleigh Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Stamey officiating and Rev. Barry Taylor officiating at the graveside. Shannon Dockery, Don Rutherford, Wayne Stansbery, Blake Hicks, Bruce Wilson, and Michael Wilson will serve as pallbearers. Dewayne Crowder, Kelvin Graham and Tim Gore are honorary pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
