Marion Leroy Madden

Marion Leroy Madden, of Ellisville, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the age of 95. Beloved husband, of 71 years of the late Emma Fae Madden; devoted mother of Howard (the late Sheila) Madden, Becky (Randy) Davis, Ruth (Chris) Ross, Robin (Bruce) Stahl and Michael Madden; loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Lena Margaret (the late Philip) Glick, Norma Jean (Jerry) Hollingsworth, Raymond (Carolyn) Madden and Linda Kay (Bill) Nonnast. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Roy and Emma Florence Madden.
Leroy was honored to serve his country in the United States Army during World War II and took the assignment to protect our freedom seriously. He impacted lives as a professor at Missouri Baptist University as well as a supply pastor for several churches through his years of ministry. He was a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church.
Leroy had many hobbies throughout his life, including music, reading, golfing and flying with his private pilot's license. He and his wife enjoyed traveling to many places after retirement in their R.V. Leroy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Leroy's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
