Marion R. (McGonigle) Malone of South Boston, MA, passed away peacefully at home with family on March 3, 2026, at age 97. Devoted Mum to Patricia (Malone) Nickerson; (Marian) Louise Malone and the late Stephen Malone, all of South Boston. Loving
grandmother of Christine Nickerson Campbell (and Jaime); cherished great grandmother of Marien (Molly) Nickerson and Caoilainn Campbell; dear mother-in-law to Susan Malone.

In addition to son Stephen, Marion was predeceased by her beloved longtime partner Edward Porter; sister Florence (McGonigle) Pineau, brother-in-law Joseph Pineau, nieces Diane (Pineau) Ireland and Denise Pineau, nephew Paul McNemar and many dear family members and friends.

Marion was born in Boston to Marion (Martin) and Frederick McGonigle. She grew up in Dorchester and moved to South Boston as a young bride. She enjoyed working at First National market (the Firstie) and later, South Boston Savings Bank. Customers

Marion loved to cook and entertain. She was always social, loved music, enjoyed long walks with family and friends and always had wonderful stories and advice. Marion's family is forever grateful to her devoted caregivers, "third daughter" Kay Forde,
Donna Morris and Suzeanne Greene.
