PIQUA -- Marion E. Shellabarger, 89, of Piqua, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 26, 1936 in Miami County to the late Byron and Bonita (Parsons) Shellabarger. He married Sylvia (Rose) Shellabarger on May 19, 1956 in Covington, Kentucky, and she survives.
Marion is also survived by four sons, Roger (Toni) Shellabarger of Greenville, Michael (Tammy) Shellabarger of Port Charlotte, Florida, Steven Shellabarger of Piqua, and Ryan (Ceridwen "C.C.") Shellabarger of Piqua; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
A service to honor his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Troy Christian Church with Pastor Chris Heiss officiating. Burial will be held privately for the family at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, and also from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Troy Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Troy Christian Church Mission Fund, Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
