Marion Arlene Skipper

Mrs. Marion Arlene Skipper of Wynne died Sunday, March 30, 2025, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Arlene was born in Wynne, Arkansas, on December 9, 1935, to the late Clarence and Winnie Jordan Chrisco. She worked for the FBI in Washington D. C. where she met and married Curtis Skipper. They also lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois, and traveled a lot before coming back to Wynne. They settled in the Smith Chapel Community, Curtis died in a car accident in 1959, leaving Arlene to raise their son, Jr. alone. When anyone else would have broken, Arlene stayed strong. She started working at Addison Shoe Company in 1958, on the 3rd day that the factory opened and worked until it closed in 2007. She had the resilience and perseverance that it took to work a full-time job and care for JR. There was no quit or I can't in Arlene.
Arlene is survived by her son, Curtis Skipper, Jr. of the home, many relatives, special friends and a close cousin, Donna Daugherity and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Winnie Lee Jordan Chrisco, brother, Cliff Chrisco, and husband, Curtis Skipper.
Visitation will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 9 until 10 AM with graveside services following at Cogbill Cemetery at 10 am. Rev. Clint Haynes will officiate.
