Marion Whelan

Marion A. Whelan (nee Kelperis) of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 20, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in southern California, she is predeceased by her parents, the late Alec and Rita (nee Mount) Kelperis. She was 78 years old.

Marion was a devout follower of the Lord. She was a fabulous artist and loved creating various crafts. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

Marion was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Whelan.

She was the loving mother of Michele Bognar (David), Jeffrey Whelan (Lynn), Gary Whelan (Susan), and Debra Kornbluth (Richard). Cherished Mom Mom of Michael, Nicolette, Gary Jr., Kyle, Sean, Patrick, Melissa, Brian, Mackenzie, Jon, and Nathan. Great 'GG" to Malachy. Dear sister of Kathleen Martz, Eileen Zych, Peggy Penfold, William Kelperis, the late Joan Lynch, and the late Vincent LaRosa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 27th from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street. A service will begin at 12:30 pm (livestream link: https://www.viewlogies.net/givnish/YnjpQgIPV?pin=104514), followed by interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Camden Avenue in Moorestown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
