Maris Yuteve Metzger

Maris Yuteve Metzger age 89, of Wapakoneta passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Wapakoneta Manor. She was born May 4, 1936, in Uniopolis, Ohio to the late Otis J. and Donna Frances (Harruff) Kirchner. She married Kermit 'Whitey' Metzger April 7, 1956, and he preceded her in death January 30, 2018.
Yuteve retired from Bank One in 1991 where she had been a System Analyst. She enjoyed crocheting, roller skating and was a member of RSROA. She also had a passion for genealogy and following family history. Family camping and traveling to Branson and Dollywood were some of her fondest memories.
Survivors include a daughter Elisha (Bart) Smith of Wapakoneta; 2 granddaughters: Andrea (Martin) Brookhart and Emily Smith; great grandchildren Neil and Ellen Brookhart and a sister-in-law Bonnie Kirchner of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a son: Kurt Allen Metzger in 2012 and a brother Norman Kirchner 2021.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and Pastor Anthony Brookhart will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
