Marjorie Bennett Obituary
BELPRE—Marjorie S. Bennett of Belpre, OH, died on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025.
She was born Aug. 13, 1939, daughter of the late Harry and Shirley (Corless) Palmer in Waitsfield, VT. They moved to Hingham, MA in 1952, where she graduated from Hingham High School Class of 1957. In May 1957 she married Donald L. Bennett, whom was stationed at the Hingham Nike Missile Site. They traveled throughout the United States and Europe during his military career.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Shirley Lyons of Tuppers Plains, OH, Donna and Vince Lacomb of Reedsville, OH; two sons, Robert (Bob) and Patty Bennett of Pikeville, KY and Bernard H. (Bernie) and Barb Bennett of Lancaster, OH and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Bennett; two brothers, Corliss Palmer of Wells River, VT and Donald Palmer of Great Falls, MT and two sisters, Jennie Messer of Waitsfield, VT and Lucille Neill of Waitsfield, VT.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Mark Zimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, from 11 A.M. until time of the service.
