Marjorie Brummell Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie McGhee Brummell, 84, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.
Mrs. Brummell was born in Oxford, NC on September 26, 1941 to the late Willie Ernest McGhee and Thelma Lee Hicks McGhee. At an early age, she joined Huntsville Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Mary Potter High School in Oxford and received her formal training in cosmetology at DeShazor’s Beauty College in Durham, NC. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brummell was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Hoover Brummell, of Clarksville, VA; daughters, Damita Burwell (George) of Clarksville, VA; Lisa Loiseau of North Chesterfield VA, and Marjorie Brown (Tyree) of Chesterfield, VA; six grandchildren; one sister, Annie Denise Debnam of Palmer Park, MD, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie McGhee Brummell will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Rodney Baysmore, officiating.
Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
