Mr. Jermaine Christopher Wood, 49, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest on September 19, 2025.
Jermaine, affectionately known as “Maine”, was born on September 4, 1976 to the late Johnny Watson Sr. and Blanche Wood Guill. He attended the Mecklenburg County Public School and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak, Virginia. He was a very humble and quiet man. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, playing video games and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his godchild, Keysean William Green; stepmother, Obie Watson; maternal grandparents, James and Blanche Wood; paternal grandparents, Lottie Watson Carrington and Royal Carrington; and two stepsisters, Bertha Skipwith and Debbie Harris.
He leaves the cherish his memory a very special friend, Valerie Lambert; seven brothers, Johnny Watson, Jr., Van Wood, Jerome Watson (Gail), Travis Watson (Stephanie), Johnny Hickman, Stacey Watson and Brad Wood; two sisters, Joyce Barnes (Ernest) and Joanne Smith (Mack); two stepsisters, JoAnn Towler and Yvonne Pettus (Glen); one stepbrother, Charlie Towler; eight aunts, Maria Wynn, Veada Currin, Gracie, Pulliam, Beulah Wood, Hazel Harris (Lorenzo), Arlene Wood, Mahalia Smith and Sandra Wood; two uncles, Irving Wood and James Wood (Bernice), and a vast number of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Mr. Jermaine Wood will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA.
