Marjorie Rockwell Crewdson

Marjorie Rockwell Crewdson, age 96, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. Marjorie was born on April 25, 1927 in Warsaw, New York to George Henry and Lila Lee (Mitchell) Rockwell. She attended Rochester Public Schools and Keuka College. She was employed at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York.
On September 20, 1947, Marjorie married Ernest Crewdson at Dewey Avenue Presbyterian Church in Rochester, New York. In 1975, they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. Over the years together, they enjoyed backpacking, day hiking, Alpine and Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, and traveling.
Marjorie's hobbies included playing bridge, knitting, researching genealogy, and she published a cookbook of favorite recipes for family and friends. Marjorie was an ordained Elder at Summerville Presbyterian Church in the town of Irondequoit, New York. She sang in the church choir for 26 years before coming to Fort Collins, and is currently a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Collins.
Marjorie was a Charter member and President of the Mountain Prairie Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, and is a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and State Historian for the Colorado Mayflower Society.
Besides Ernie, her husband of over 70 years, she leaves sons Robert Alan of Bakersville, California; James Ernest and wife Coleen of Thornton, Colorado; Thomas David and wife Katy of Lakewood, Colorado; a daughter Carol Anne of Westcliffe, Colorado; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
