Marjorie S. Manning

With great sadness, we announce the death, at age 97, of Marjorie S. Manning, of Delmont, on July 6, 2025, in Tempe, AZ. The daughter of James (Buss) and Estella Sheffler and sister of Doris Sheffler, she was a proud graduate of Greensburg Salem High School in 1946. She worked as a secretary before marrying Robert Manning of Greensburg, a WWII veteran, in 1952. Marjorie and Robert Manning were the proud parents of Marcia, born in 1954; Lauren, born in 1957; Kerry, born in 1959; Robert, born in 1961; and Scott, born in 1967. As the children matured, Marjorie returned to work as an inventory clerk/secretary at the Export Tire Company, working between 1973 and 1993. Marjorie will always be the beloved mother-in-law of David Christian of Bellaire, MI; Mark Farrell of Tempe, AZ; Diana Manning of Litchfield Park, AZ; Aimee Manning of Ligonier; and Dana Craciun of Timisoara, Romania. She is the grandmother of Rachel Christian of Naperville, IL; Lisa Walton of Gilbert, AZ; Michelle Rojas of Tempe, AZ; Christy McGhee of Gilbert, AZ; Sebastian Manning of Quincy, IL; and Brittany Koeler Canevski of Litchfield Park, AZ. She will always be the great-grandmother of Kyleigh, Conner, and Brielle Walton of Gilbert, AZ; Autumn, Nolan, and Lana Rojas of Tempe, AZ; and Sofija Canevski of Litchfield Park, AZ. Marjorie's extended family will welcome friends between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 22, to BASH-NEID-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, PA 15626. Marjorie was a lifelong member of Delmont Presbyterian Church, and her life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, at the church. Friends and family of Marjorie are welcome to gather at 11:30 a.m. at Rizzo's in Crabtree to celebrate Marjorie's noble life. In lieu of flowers, participants are encouraged to make donations to Delmont Presbyterian Church to assist it in its good work in the community.
