Marjorie Owens Ricks, 89, of Boston, GA, passed away on Sunday - February 9, 2025 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA. Funeral Services will be held at Whiddon Shiver on Thursday - February 13, 2025 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Jerry Rewis of The Bridge Church of God officiating. She will be laid to rest at Springhill Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday - February 12th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home Chapel. Marjorie was born in Pavo, GA on December 27, 1935 to the late Jim Owens and Zeola Whiddon Owens. She was married to Jimmy Lamar Ricks for over 60 years, whom preceded her in death on February 21, 2021. She worked for Warner's as a Seamstress/Supervisor for 48 years. She spent many years on the Warner's bowling league which she absolutely enjoyed and even joined the traveling team. Her husband Jimmy loved planting and growing flowers around their property and she always enjoyed the beauty of having them around their home. She will forever be missed and loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by; two brothers, Charles Owens (Bobbie Ann) of Boston, GA, and Pete Owens (Doris) of Thomasville, GA, in-laws, Margaret Owens, Ernest Young, and Wanda Ricks, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, and her parents, she is preceded in death by; siblings, Frank Owens, J.T. Owens, Winona Owens, Marion Young, Eunice McGalliard, and a brother-in-law, J.D. Ricks, Jr.
