Marjorie Robb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trout Funeral Home & Crematory - Ponca City on Feb. 27, 2026.
Marjorie Anne Robb, better known as Marge, passed away Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 95 years old. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14th, at 9:30am, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Robert Montgomery presiding. Appetizers to follow. Family graveside services will be at Resthaven Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. Robert Montgomery presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

She was a longtime resident of Ponca City, who enjoyed Mother's Club, PEO Chapter FN, and was an active member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School, was a member of United Methodist Women and the SEFI Sunday School class. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels with her late husband, Tom, who passed in 2009.

Marge was the daughter of Harry and Faith Weese. She was born May 24, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio. She lived with her parents and younger sister, Emily, on Lincoln Avenue in Columbus. Marge graduated from Worthington High School in 1948, then studied and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. During her time at Ohio State, she was an active member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and also met the love of her life. Tom and Marge met at Ohio State under the tutelage of the great Woody Hayes. They were married on June 14th, 1953, at Maple Grove Methodist Church in Columbus. After graduating from Ohio State, Marge taught early elementary school in both the Columbus, Ohio public school system and the Tulsa, Oklahoma public school system. Due to Tom's job, they moved from Columbus to Tulsa, Oklahoma, eventually settling in Ponca City in 1959.

Marge was a distant cousin of President James A. Garfield and a great admirer of Queen Elizabeth II. Marge saw many parts of the world, due to business travel, as well as traveling with family and friends, visiting China, Great Britain, many parts of Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, the Galapagos, and China, just to name a few. Marge was also an avid card player, participating in many bridge games over the years.

Encouraged by their very close friends at St. Paul's UMC in Ponca City, Marge and Tom built a log cabin in Lake City, Colorado. They spent some of their best retirement summers at their cabin, with family, meeting new challenges and new friends, while maintaining old ones from around the world.

In her last years, what really brought the sparkle to Marge's eyes were the little ones, her seven great grandchildren and two more on the way. She could never get enough time around them and they brought her the most joy and best smiles.

Marge is preceded in death by her husband Tom Robb, sister Emily Glick, parents Harry and Faith Weese, and many close friends.

Marge is survived by her three children: son, Mike Robb (Deb), of Powell, Ohio, granddaughter, Ashley Powers (Adam), great-grandson, Jackson Powers, granddaughter, Megan Gough (Kyle), great-grandkids, Brody Gough and Brooklyn Gough.

Son, Jeff Robb (Kathy) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, granddaughter, Madison Jones (Seth), great-grandkids, Callen and Quincy, grandson, Matthew Robb (Brianna), and great-grandson, James Robb.

Daughter, Kim Prager (Frank) of Englewood, Colorado, granddaughter, Faith Spencer (Travis), and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Spencer, grandson, Phillip Prager (fiancee Mary Cavaliere).

Marge is also survived by brother-in-law, David Glick and wife Carolyn of Melbourne, Florida, and two nieces, Suzanne Peper, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Colyer, Villanova, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to "Meals on Wheels", 8280 E South Ave, Ponca City, OK 74604.
