Born December 5, 1953, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth William and Lorraine Hazel (Strauss) Smith. She was the loving wife of Victor John Sosnowski, her husband of 44 years.
Marjorie spent most of her working career as a senior system analyst. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards with friends, cruising the Caribbean, going to casinos and painting. She was known for her kind loving heart, gentle spirit, very competitive spirit and unwavering devotion to her pets.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Mark Sosnowski and wife Adrienne and Christina Phaneuf and husband Jay-Are; grandchildren Paige Sosnowski, Aubree Conley, Victor Sosnowski, Mark Cooke, Troy Phaneuf and Conner Phaneuf; step grandchildren Layla and Kayla; her sister Janet Baliles and husband Rick; and 1 nephew, 4 grand nephews and 5 grand neices.
The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
