Marjorie Hymel Tregre

 Marjorie Hymel Tregre, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. A native of Wallace, LA and resident of Bridge City, LA and Ascension Oaks Nursing Home, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Edward J. Hymel Sr. and the late Leona H. Hymel. Wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Tregre for 69 years. She is survived by her sister Rita H. Simon (the late Peddy) and sister in law Kathleen B. Hymel, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings Beulah H. Weber (Ben), Nora H. Roussell (EJ), Mabel H. Clement (Vernon), Elsie H. Abadie (AJ), Anne H. Rome (Ramsey), and Edward J. Hymel Jr. She loved to play bingo, crochet, and travel with her friends. A special thanks to her godchild and niece for the many years of loving care they provided. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral mass on Saturday February 1, 2025 at 1:30PM in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., in Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 11AM. Interment will follow immediately at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA.
