Benito R. Castiglione passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Peggy Castiglione for 60 years. Father of Louis Castiglione (Laura), Sonia Talabock (Kevin), and the late Benny Castiglione (Stacy), and Christopher Castiglione (Amanda). Son of the late Rosalia and Angelo Castiglione. Brother of Giuseppi Castiglione (Enzina), and the late Luigi Castiglione, Conchetta Vicari Castiglione (Salvatore), Ciro Castiglione (Cologera), Giusepina Bellina (Paul), Gaetano Castiglione (Lina), Anna Mazzarere (Ciccio), Elvira Castiglione (Giuseppe) and Nicolino Castiglione (Olga). Grandfather of Justin Castiglione (Savorah), Tyler Castiglione, Hailey Daigle (Jake), Jonathon Castiglione (Chloe), Nicolas Talabock, Lainey Castiglione, Jade Castiglione, and Noah Castiglione. Great grandfather of Elaina Stiltner, Talen Castiglione, and (upcoming Blaire Daigle). Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Benito left Sicily when he was 18 and lived in Venezuela until he was 28, where he held various jobs including selling fruit, taxi driver, and automotive repair. He came to the United States to continue his mechanical career, where he met and married his wife, Peggy. He was employed by the Mississippi River Grain Elevator for 32 years as a Maintenance Superintendent and retired for the first time at 65 years old. He came out of retirement at 66 years old to run a vehicle inspection station until his second retirement at 82 years old. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, and fixing anything that was broken. He was passionate about cooking for his family, vegetable gardening and growing fruit trees. He would do anything for his children and made the World’s Best espresso and cappuccino. Services will be held privately at a later date.
