Angelo Castiglione

Angelo Castiglione of Montgomery, a retired auto body fabricator, passed on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was 83.

The son of the late Leonardo Castiglione and Giuseppa Di Girloamo, he was born October 14, 1941 in Sicily, Italy. He was the widower of his beloved wife Giovanna Castiglione.

Angelo was a very hard worker and a perfectionist! He loved his family and his outdoor life, fishing and hunting were his passions. Angelo will be missed by his family and all his friends whether at work from Lothar's Bodyshop or the hunting club or the YMCA where he worked out 3 days a week. For an older person he kept very busy. The loss of his wife and our mother was a battle he could not face! Life without her was no life, so he did the best he could without his best friend. Now they are once again united, as it always was.

He is survived by his three sons: Lenny and his wife Mitzi, Joseph and his wife Tammy, and Danny; and a grandson Giorgio.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a prayer service starting at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
