Obituary of Marjorie Frances Wolfe
Marjorie Frances Wolfe (Marjie), 65, of Melbourne Florida passed away on August 25, 2023 in Melbourne Florida. Marjie was born in North Miami Beach, Florida to Tom and Sylvia Desmond on August 8, 1958. She graduated from Boyd Anderson High School in 1976. Early in life she worked in the manufacturing industry at Armitron and at Harris Corporation. She spent most of the years thereafter dedicated to her family as a wife, mother, and homemaker. In the past five years she volunteered at the Brevard Zoo. She loved her work there and in 2021 won volunteer of the year honors.
Marjie had many interests and engaged with many groups. She was an accomplished multi-media artist and photographer, a wildlife conservationist, a lover of pets and all animals, an avid reader, and a gardener. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of nature, animals and plants. In recent years she had engaged with the yearly Native Rhythms Festival held in Wickham park, because of her love for the endangered American red wolves.
Marjie is survived by her husband of 40 + years, Don Wolfe of Melbourne, Florida. She is also survived her mother (Sylvia Desmond), her brother (Tom Desmond IV), her daughters (Lisa Lucas, Rachel Wolfe and Donna Wolfe), her grandsons (Garrett and Uriah), and her granddaughter (Angela Freya). She is preceded in death by her father (Thomas Desmond III) and two daughters (Angela Mae Wolfe and Kathleen Frances Wolfe).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at a later date (TBD) at Florida Memorial Gardens. Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brevard Zoo, the Native Rhythms Festival, the Red Wolf Coalition, WAYS for Life, or Harmony Farms. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to their neighbors, friends, Zoo family, the Native Rhythms Festival, the Red Wolf Coalition, and especially to their Church family.
Marjie is a Christ follower who lived her life with her Heavenly home in mind. She was impactful, caring, loving, and kind and will be greatly missed on earth.
