Marjory Enzenbacher Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holman-Howe Funeral Homes Lebanon on Jan. 22, 2025.
Marjory C. (Weaks) Enzenbacher was born August 27, 1927 to Carroll Francis and Marjory Ruth Weaks near Oak Park, Illinois. She departed this life Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Cedarhurst of Lebanon, Missouri. Marjory was ninety-seven years, four months and twenty-five days of age.
Marjory saw a lot of changes in her ninety-seven years. From living through the Great Depression to the introduction of computers and cell phones. Marjory even had a smart phone of her own. She lived in eleven decades of modernization and growth in America.
She graduated from York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. Following high school, she worked for the Veterans Administration where she met George Dewey Enzenbacher, Jr. They were married February 7, 1948 and together they shared over sixty-four years of love and happiness, making many memories along the way.
Marjory was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband George, on April 11, 2012.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Marjory and George lived in Villa Park, Illinois until 1993 when they relocated to Eldridge, Missouri. They were members of the First Congregational Church UCC in Lebanon. They loved their church family and time spent with them. Marjory was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also served as an election judge and was active in the Weight Watchers organization.
Marjory was an amazing homemaker. She loved to prepare baked goods for family and friends, making many birthday cakes and even a wedding cake! She will be remembered for being an amazing seamstress. She also liked playing games and doing puzzles. Marjory loved cats and dogs, especially Boston Terriers.
She was a patriotic person and loved her family very much. As we bid farewell to Marjory, let us celebrate the impact she had on our lives. May her memory serve as a guiding light, reminding us to embrace love, kindness and faith. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to known her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to The Hughes Center or Samaritan's Purse and donations may be left at the funeral home.

Marjory Morrill

Aunt Marjory was kind and beautiful. I remember visiting Aunt Marjory and Uncle George in Villa Park when I was young and when I was much older my Mom and I drove to Eldridge to visit them. They came to California to visit our family often. She taught me how to knit, I remember her being patient. She shared some wonderful old photos of our Ancestors to help me with my family history, and wrote a story for me about my Grandmother Marjory who I never knew. I have so many good Memories of Aunt Marjory, she lived a wonderful life.
