Marjory Van Dinter, age 88, peacefully went to Heaven on December 6, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born February 10, 1935, to the late Jerome and Esther (Kronz) Moser in a farmhouse in Black Creek, Wisconsin. She helped her father farm and was driving tractor at 10 years old. This is where she got her hard work ethic.   Marjory Van Dinter was loved greatly by her children, Gary Van Dinter (special friend Lee Ann Ness), Gregg Van Dinter (special friend Jeanne Peskie), Barry Van Dinter, and his children, Brittany Van Dinter, Sam Van Dinter (Rebecca), and Nick Van Dinter, Diane Mashuda (and her husband Jeff), and her children Amanda Hofacker /Sorby, and Heath Hofacker, and Rod Van Dinter.  She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Cora, Elka, and Vera Van Dinter. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy, and another son (stillbirth).   Those closest to Marge knew that she loved Clinique Happy perfume, red lipstick, and nails, and going for long walks all over the city of Appleton.  You could always see her at Riverside Bar & Grill (formerly the Flateau which she owned with her late husband) drinking an old fashioned with 2 pickled onions and Brussel sprouts. You can still find her loved ones, family, and friends at the same bar she helped operate since 1970. Marge loved taking her kids and grandkids on special outings to Holy Hill, Bay Beach, The Milwaukee Zoo, city parks, and the annual summer cottages on Lake Metonga, in addition to taking the grandkids to swimming pools and Shakey's Pizza on Mother’s Day as well. She could always be seen sitting on the bleachers cheering on her kids and grandkids at various sporting events. She was an extraordinary cook and loved making her famous chocolate peanut clusters to enjoy at Riverside bar. Her hot beef was always a hit, and still is along with the famous dumplings.   Her late life was largely fulfilled by spending time with her grandchildren, often walking 10+ miles to see them and always giving them special $2 bills for their good grades. She would keep up this tradition with her great-grandchildren as well. She spent many of her late years with her former special friend, Admiral, and Fire Chief Dewey Nelson. Marge and Dewey loved going to the casinos and would take road trips to visit his family in Virginia and Philadelphia. Before each meal or cup of coffee, they always kissed and shared a prayer.    Marge had a huge, generous heart and an even bigger sense of humor and wit and didn't hold anything back. She always knew how to make light of difficult situations and was quite comedic. She had a special place in her heart to help those who had struggles in their life.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing and loving her throughout her long, well-lived life.   Honoring Marge’s wishes, private funeral services were held with the family.   “We love you Mom and see you on our next journey in life”
