Mark was my supervisor when I was in "pre-hire" for PPD. A great man. He was always supportive and always had something funny/amusing to say to break my anxiety of being a a new guy getting ready to go to the academy. Rest Easy Mark. Thank you Sir.

What a really good person Mark was; a good friend, a good father, a good officer, a good anything fixer...and an unbelievable worker! We don´t know how he had the energy to do all he did.
Mark was so proud of his children. We met the boys on several occasions during construction projects, and what a hoot they are! Great kids as I´m sure all of them are.
Mark helped so many people and all of us depended on him to have solutions to all our problems. I don´t know if anyone was ever able to stump him.
We are all so sad that we lost such a good friend and we hope the Aker family takes comfort in knowing how much he was loved and admired.
