Mark Edward Aker

Mark Edward Aker, 56, passed away on May 10, 2023. He was born in Washington D.C. on February 10, 1967 to proud parents Mary Ann Aker and Gary Irving Aker.
Mark, the most loving and devoted father, is survived by his four children, grandchild, two sisters, one brother-in-law, and extended family.
Mark joined the Phoenix police department in 1994 and spent 29 years in service to his community. He also had an exceptional talent for creative construction projects.
Mark will be remembered for his wittiness, humor, and wonderful smile. He had natural charisma and was incredibly generous. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His stories were infectious and he never let a room go quiet. As a pillar of strength for his family and friends, he loved nothing more than spending time with them. He was selfless and his passing left an unfillable gap in those who loved him. He was a truly great man whose impact will be felt forever.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. A piece of each of us went with you and we know you are watching over us.
