It is with broken hearts we announce the “Rock” of our lives, husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, Mark D. Anderson, passed away suddenly on July 17, 2024, in Layton, Utah, with his wife and loved ones by his side.
Mark was born on September 11, 1955, to Delvon Andy Anderson and Sally Leary in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married the love of his life and soul mate, Cory Lynn, on January 28, 1977. They had three children together.
Dad’s favorite things to do were hunting, camping, family vacations (Disneyland), therapy on Sundays, family tradition gambling, watching Price is right, Yellowstone, 1883, favorite movies Braveheart, Dances with Wolves, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Patriot, Tombstone, the Magnificent 7, Rambo, but most of all spending family time, especially UNO with the grandkids.
Mark was very caring, giving and compassionate man, always putting everyone else first. He would give you the shirt off his back, whether he knew you or not. He touched many lives.
He worked at LDS Hospital for 33 years, where he was over the engineering department for the last 8 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cory; children: Chad Mark (Josie), Dana Chantel, and Jake D. and 4 grandchildren, he is also survived by his siblings Sally, Susan, Shelley George (Mark), Sonnyboy, Aaron (Melanie), Lisa Kautz (Mike), also step dad Sonny Bench, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Kevin, sister Stacey and niece Stephanie.
Many “THANKS” to all the love, support, thoughts and prayers that everyone has offered.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse, Utah. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday prior to the service 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist Syracuse Mortuary.
Interment will be on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. the Marion Cemetery, Kamas, Utah.
