Mark Anthony Archer, 53, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital.
Mark was born on April 7, 1972, in Norton, KS, the son of Larry Max and Rita Marie (Geist) Archer. He graduated from Norton High School in 1991 and later from the McPherson College Auto Restoration Program. On September 18, 1993, Mark was united in marriage to Amy Laynae Sumner. This union was blessed with two children, Andrew and Gracie. Amy preceded him in death on October 27, 2021.
He worked at Central States Marketing & Manufacturing as a processing technician.
Survivors include two children, Andrew Archer (Courtney) of Norcatur, KS and Gracie Archer (Rhett Beals) of Ellinwood, KS; fiancé, Angelia Myers of McPherson, KS; step-children, Crystalyn Myers of McPherson, KS, Gabriel Rowe (Chelsie) of McPherson, KS, and Natalie Franco (Jacob) of Newton, KS; sisters, Lori Fulks of Kentucky and Kristi McDowell (Sean Enyart) of Abilene, KS; grandchildren, Emery Archer, Kendrick Myers, Devlin Rowe, Atlas Rowe, Willow Williams, Harper Williams, and two more grandbabies expected in the coming year; several nieces & nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A celebration of life (come & go) will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be in McPherson Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Children’s Mercy Hospital (Kansas City) in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
