Mark Baker Obituary

Mark Baker, age 60, of Princeton, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 9, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1964, to Marshall and Lena Baker (Becker).

On May 9, 1988, Mark married Ruth Richardson in Merrill, WI. They eventually moved their family to Montello, and started Vin's Auto Plus in Princeton. Heartbreakingly, Ruth lost her battle with cancer in 2007. Through the rain, came sunshine and he married Debra LaMeer on April 8, 2017. He considered himself blessed to have found great love twice in his lifetime.

Mark served his country in the US Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion Post 366 in Princeton. He was an exceptional mechanic. He loved golfing, riding his Harley, and playing poker. Mark was an avid pilot, an amateur radio operator and EC for Green Lake County. But more than all of that, he loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren he greatly adored.

Mark is survived by his wife, Debra Baker; his father, Marshall Baker; 8 children, Amy (Deitz), Tim (Amy), Wendy (Alan), Phillip (Danielle), Heidi (Brad), Kelli (Kevin), Amber, and Jenny; 12 grandchildren, Zach, Jessica (Kevin), Emily (Christopher), Mark (Kaylee), Noah, Taylin, Kaitlyn, Kaydence, Payton, Jayden, Brooke, and Maddy; 4 siblings, Lina, Wanda, Renate, and Marshall; father-in-law, Dan LaMeer; 2 sisters-in-law, Daphne (Jahbbar), Chandra (Richard); brother-in-law, Danny (Brandi); countless nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Waiting at Heaven's gates for him are, his wife, Ruth; brother, Michael; his mother, Lena; stepmother, Betty; sister-in-law, Mary; nephew, Mikey; mother-in-law, Julie; great nephew, Austin; many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mark Baker will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from Noon to 5:00 p.m., at the Baker family home, N3504 West Tomahawk Trail, Montello. Please visit our website www.wachholzandsons.com to send a condolence or to share a memory of Mark with his family.
