Mark Beyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Inc. - Brookfield on Dec. 16, 2025.
Beyer, Mark William

Mark Beyer was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and longtime member of his community. He passed away unexpectedly on December 8th, 2025 at the age of 74.

Loving husband of Mary for 47 years, cherished father of Matt (Paula Cody) and Joanne (Landen Rentmeester), awesome grandfather of Cecilia and Georgia Beyer and Charlie and Colette Rentmeester, dear brother to Susan (Charles) Baker, friend to many. Mark was preceded in death by his parents William and Jane Beyer and sister Nancy (James) Keeney.

Mark grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, became an Eagle Scout, earned his Civil Engineering degree from UW-Madison and his MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. Mark's professional journey led him around the world with work experiences that took him to the Middle East, both coasts of the United States and many places in between. He and Mary made their home in Brookfield for the past 34 years. He had many talents and interests with a vibrant creative side as a musician, painter, and crafter of an American Civil War diorama. Mark enjoyed Badger football, canoeing, camping, pickleball, playing his trumpet, fishing, and playing cards. He adored his dogs who were dear and constant companions. His grandchildren were the light of his life.

He made a lasting impact on those around him with his easygoing nature and ability to form genuine connections. Mark had a unique gift for making everyone around him feel welcome and included. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his fun energy, optimism and devotion to his family and friends. We will honor him by following his example: embracing adventure, not taking life too seriously, and greeting all with open arms.

While we mourn the loss of Mark, we also appreciate the extraordinary life he lived. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center on January 3rd, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, open house. 3270 Mitchell Park Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Elmbrook Humane Society or the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for Mark's passing. Mark was a unique individual with broad interests who was never lacking in the art of discussion. He had a strong scholastic and technical background that he balanced with the arts and his interest in history. My thoughts go back to one of our early travels where we both arrived at our destination several hours prior to our scheduled meeting. We decided to take the opportunity of extra time by visiting local historical sites in the area dating back to the early 1700´s. In our work, we often were on a site for a few days and when back at our hotel at days end, we would discuss and resolve "World Issues" over a couple glasses of wine, then be back to work the next day. I was fortunate to have worked with Mark over the past 25 years but most of all, blessed to have him as a friend. Mark will be forever in our memories and greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Mark´s passing. I knew Mark from our days in the Boy Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and Park High in Racine. I saw him at our Park High `68 breakfast this past year. I´m glad he reintroduced himself to me. He was as gracious as I remembered and was flattered when he complimented my bugle playing. He remembered me better than what I thought I was. I´m sure he will be missed! Peace to all
