Mark Birrer Obituary
Mark was the son of the late Benjamin and Clara Birrer. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Ursula Birrer; father to two daughters, Denise Birrer (partner Mike Stalker) and Beth Carrell (late husband Jason). Loving grandfather of Justin and Derek Carrell.
Mark was the owner of his own clothing business for 40 years. He was an umpire and the President of the DVOA Umpire Association. Mark was a huge sports fan who loved his Philly teams. He had a big personality that made everyone smile by being around him. Mark deeply loved his family and friends and always wanted to be there to help. Most recently his role of Pop Pop was his greatest joy.
Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, March 30, 2025 beginning 9:15 am to Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc., 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ where funeral services will begin promptly at 10:00am. The service will also be live streamed by clicking on the Memorial Video link at the bottom of this page. Burial will follow at Crescent Memorial Park in Pennsauken, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Ursula. I am so sorry to hear this..we grew up in east camden and were best friends.
We laughed played cards all the time.
I am sorry but I will not be able to attend the ceremony because I recently had surgery.
