Mark Buerk Obituary
Mark was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on May 9, 1983, to Connie and Mark Buerk Sr. He graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School and went on to serve in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that reflected his dedication, strength, and sense of duty.
Mark later began his career at E-ONE, where he worked as a steel welder and quality inspector, taking pride in his craft and attention to detail. It was also at E-ONE where he met the love of his life, Julie-Ann. They married in 2021, building a life rooted in partnership, laughter, and unwavering support.
Above all else, Mark was a devoted father and family man. He found peace in simple moments and was known for his quiet strength and steady presence. He loved spending time with his daughter and family, enjoyed beach vacations, working in the garage, reading, and snuggling up with his favorite pups - the everyday moments that brought him comfort and joy. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and a life lived with heart.
Mark is survived by his beloved daughter, Alivia; his wife, Julie-Ann; his mother, Connie; his father, Mark Buerk Sr.; and his brothers, Matt and Nathan.
He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory with them.
Mark is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lorraine Brandon; his paternal grandparents, Lawrence Buerk and Donna Brown; and his cousin, Samuel Brandon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Mark's life be honored through quiet reflection, shared stories, and time spent with those who matter most. Those wishing to do so may also honor his memory by planting a Rose of Sharon - his favorite - or by making a donation to mesothelioma cancer research.
