Mark Chudoba Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory - Roscoe on Dec. 4, 2023.
Mark "Chewie" James Chudoba, 58, of Poplar Grove, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born on January 27, 1965, in New London, CT to Victor and Eleanor (Balcom) Chudoba. Mark was an amazing husband, father, and friend. He was a military veteran and proudly served in the Illinois National Guard for over 20 years. Mark married his wife, Laurie Chudoba, on June 17, 1995, in Rockford and they have four children, Joshua (22), Brody (17), Sydney (16), and Samantha (16). He loved them more than anything. He was a diehard Buffalo Bills and Michigan fan and enjoyed watching the games with his sons. His daughters made him smile every day, and his love for his wife was second to none. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family. Mark was an amazing friend. Those lucky enough to make it into his inner circle knew they could always count on him.
Mark is survived by his wife, Laurie Chudoba (Meyer); children, Joshua Chudoba, Brody Chudoba, Sydney Chudoba, and Samantha Chudoba; father, Victor Chudoba (Woodstock); sister, Beth Haines (Maquon); in-laws, Gary and Kathe Meyer (Rockton); brother-in-law, Edwin LeBron; nieces and nephews, Caleb Haines, Kira LeBron, Emily Haines, Adara (Noah) Parker, Marianne Haines, Kaitlyn (Alex) Hoover, Alexis LeBron, and Luke LeBron; and his two best friends, J.D. Mason and Jeff Miller. He is predeceased by his mother, Eleanor Chudoba and his sister, Becky LeBron.
There will be an Open House/Celebration of Life held Friday, December 22, 2023, at the V.F.W. Roscoe Post 2955, 11385 2nd Street, Roscoe, IL 61073, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Military honors will be at 4:00pm with the Memorial Speech immediately following. A light meal will be served after. Family will be in everyday clothes as that is what Mark would want. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
