Gary W. Henson

Gary Henson, 73, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Born on November 5, 1952, in Rockford, IL, Gary graduated from Harlem High School in 1970.
School, Gary worked for Atwood Manufacturing for many years before finishing his career as a CNC machinist at Action Tool and Die, where he worked for 25 years before retiring.
Gary enjoyed golfing, bowling, trap shooting, and working in the yard. After retiring, Gary enjoyed spending time in the yard with his wife, Sheri, cheering on his grandkids at the many school events they were involved in, and watching Hallmark movies. He was always there to lend a hand when needed. Never making a big deal or wanting to be the center of attention, but you knew he would be one of the first ones there to help when you needed it.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri; children, Sarah (Rick Nabors) Henson, Corey (Nicole) Henson, Tina (Matt) Dettman, and Erica (Jake) Burke; and sister, Brenda Craft. He was grandpa to nine-Camryn, Kaylie, Isaac, Landon, Lily, Jack, Elliette, Arlo, and Otis-and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved cats, Hailey and Big Boy.

Predeceased by his parents, Brother, Kenny, and Brother-in-law Wendell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Honquest Funeral Home. Home located at 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, Illinois 61073.
