Mark Chytka Obituary

Mark O. Chytka was born in Wagner, South Dakota on December 29,1935. He passed in Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 30, 2025.

Mark worked for over 40 years for the Catapillar Company, both in Sioux Falls and Rapid City, South Dakota. Mark enjoyed playing golf and duplicate bridge. One of his passions was rebuilding classic cars. He rebuilt a 1967 Camaro, 1940 Ford and a 1957 Chevy. He was a member of the South Canyon Lutheran Church and Elks Club.

Mark is remembered as a good father that attended many of his children's school and sporting events including driving to Laramie for his son's college football games. His wife, Darlene, of almost 70 years passed in June. He is survived by his son's Greg (Jo) and Paul (Mary) and his daughter Kim. He is survived by four grandchildren, Mark (Colleen), Kelsey (Will), Haley (Doug) and Syndey. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Max, Zoey, Wilder, Finely and soon to be Laken.

Currently no services are planned.
