Mark Wayne Delp born January 14, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia. Passed away September 3, 2025 in Cleveland Clinic due to complications from surgery. His wife Virginia and dear friend Jacob Kamm at his side.
Mark joins in Heaven his children he never got to hold son, Thad Jeremy, twins Marina Adelle and Malina Renee still born, mother Erna Sarahlene Delp, Father Gene E. Delp, Father in Law Dell J Milner Jr, mother in Law Gerri I Milner, brother in law Dell J Milner 3rd and Terry K Milner and the many disabled and homeless veterans that he ministered in service to Christ.
Mark grew up in
Sandusky, Ohio graduated from Sandusky High School in 1971. Married his wife Virginia I.Milner in 1971, celebrating 54 years of marriage this past May 22nd. He said it was an adventure of a lifetime. Marked started his married life working at Industrial Nut Corp. and realizing he needed to do more with his life. Mark served in the United States Air Force. He had an Associates Degree in Computer Programming and Bachelors of Science degree in Quality Engineering, and a Master's in Business. He changed his career path to serve the country that he loved dearly with the Department of Defense. He achieved many accomplishments and decided to learn more by taking a position overseeing fraud, waste, and abuse within the federal contracts with an interest in contract law. He earned his nickname * GQ Hawk and enjoyed the reputation Then decided to move into the Department of Defense International Southern Europe Command, in Ankara, Turkey. Transferred positions as Quality Lead as connecting a LAN system for the military throughout the mid east and then transferred to serve military operations within the Mid-East region. He volunteered a temporary position in Italy in joint contracting with Agosta helicopter. Serving five years in Israel DCMA. While in Israel he was Baptised in the Jordan River by his religious Counselor, Reverend Alan Greene. Mark and his wife returned to the United States deciding to choose a position with DCMA Wright/Patterson AFB as lead of the new simulator team training pilots The call for volunteers to serve the military operations overseas during wartime was presented. Mark volunteered to serve the mission support in Iraq as a deputy command his team job was quality control contracts cost overruns in military supplies, food and shelter in combination with Afghanistan. Oversaw the operations for military/civilian assigned to oil field fires and the burning pit cleanups for the military and citizens of Iraq. Transferred to Kuwait took over opening the Military office in Kuwait returned stateside settling in DCMA Ohio River Valley Command at Wright Patterson Air Force base. He returned to his Quality Engineering role which he truly loved.ard decided to retire after serving the Department of Defense serving almost 40 yrs of service.
Mark leaves behind his wife of 54 years Virginia, 2 sons, Chad E Delp (Jeannie Marie) and Brad A. Delp (Angela) grandsons Micheal A Jackson, Emery T Delp, Aaron A. Delp and Daniel J.Delp, Granddaughters, Miriam Bethany Delp and Marissa Claire Delp and sister, Marlene M. Delp, brother, Gene Matthew Delp, his Beloved Yorkies ChaseBaby and IzzieBelle Stevens
Special Friends, Jacob Kamm, Don Johnson,Dewey Burt, Phillips Hena and Reverend Alan Greene his Brother in Christ and mentor plus all his friends he met along his wonderful life of serving our country in the United States of America and his foreign assignments. His Pastoral calling was helping the homeless Veterans and families in need. His mission in Christian life was to pay it forward by being generous and never asking for anything in return.
