Mark Andrew Deutsch
November 22, 1947 – January 1, 2026
Mark Andrew Deutsch, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Glen Cove, New York, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, after a long illness. He was born in Valley Stream, New York, to Jack Deutsch and Marjorie Brodsky (Rosenthal), and was the eldest of three brothers, survived by Roger and Lee.
Mark married Leti Deutsch (Abijana), on January 1, 1978. Together they shared 48 years of marriage and raised two children, Giselle and Jonathan. He was a devoted grandfather to Ellie, Declan, and Lucas, and is also survived by Giselle's husband James Taylor and Jonathan's wife Fabiola.
Mark was a lifelong car enthusiast and business owner, operating a rental car franchise and later a tire and mechanic shop in New York. He also had a deep passion for photography. Known for his kindness and curiosity, Mark formed meaningful friendships throughout his life and valued community wherever he lived.
In retirement, Mark settled in Palm Harbor, Florida, where he enjoyed swimming, walking local parks, photographing antique cars, and participating in a photography club.
Mark passed away on his 48th wedding anniversary with his wife by his side, after sharing final moments with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to remember Mark consider honoring his love of Morgan's Park, where he frequently spent time enjoying the summer music. More information can be found at morganparkmusic.org.
