Mark Devald Obituary
Born August 3, 1955, in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Morley) Devald.
He and his wife, Judith (Nowak) Devald, celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2024.
Mark graduated from South River High School.
He retired as a truck driver for H & K Construction, Easton, where he was employed for ten years. Mark had also worked for various other area contractors.
He was the world's best G-Pa. Mark was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing.
He was a member of several local social clubs.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Judith, is a daughter, Lyndsey Scheetz and her husband Dan, of Easton; a sister, Patti Thunell and her husband Gary; a grandson, Archer; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, J.R. Devald, and two sisters, Mary Devald and Kathie Mathes.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 28th from 4-6pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice, Attn. Development Office, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015 (memo: Hospice House) www.slhn.org/development.

I was Marks dispatcher at LV Site Contractors for 10 years. He was a very hard worker and would do everything he was asked to do and more! But mainly Mark was an all around great guy. He is sorely missed by all of us at LVSC, and I was fortunate to have known him. He also turned me on to his fishing spot on Lake Ontario and I have gone there several times. God bless and rest in peace!

The Ryan Family was super blessed to grow up being cousins of Mark (and the other Devalds). So many very special times as boys! We can't think of Mark without a smile coming to our faces. An now tears for the loss of such a special man. Judy, Lyndsey and Patti, please know that we are praying for you now and will continue to pray that the Lord will comfort you as you fully grieve this tremendous loss.
