Mark Deyo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home of Montgomery on Mar. 15, 2024.
With one breath we are born into the light of the world. From this moment, we have the ability to conquer the world and build out our legacy. Mark Edward Deyo took his first breath of life on September 30, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas at the Navel Hospital. There he was greeted by his mother Bobbie Ender Deyo and his father Herbert Edmond Deyo III. There he began the journey of his legacy. Mark journeyed through life a strong, fearless, and intelligent individual. If Mark wanted it, he achieved it. He was a hard-working self-taught man. From the time he first purchased a lawnmower to start his first lawn mowing business as a child, to dedicating a lifetime to the oil field retiring as a Manager for Baker Hughes in Venezuela and finalizing as the President of Deyo Consulting. Mark was not always working hard to build his legacy; he enjoyed life along the way. He loved many hobbies riding motorcycles, flying planes, racing cars, Island hopping, motorhome adventures, and his love for boating on the lake. Selfishness did not define him for he shared his journey of life with many hearts he touched over time. Love, laughter, and crazy adventures are how many will remember this great man. Many will also remember his kind generous heart that helped so many people that needed his help; he was a man of understanding and giving. Mark was blessed with his true love in life Kathryn Leigh Deyo, who he had the privilege of sharing 37 years with. Together they journeyed through a life of exciting adventures and love. Proud parents of six children who gave them the gift of 13 grandchildren. Through these wonderful 37 years together Mark lived every breath looking after his children and wife while building a legacy any individual would be proud of. Just as we take our first breath into this world, we also take our last breath into the light of God and his Angels that watch over us through out life. On February 27th, 2024, Mark Edward Deyo took his last breath and joined the grace of God and his Angels in heaven. There he will watch over and guide his loving wife Kathryn Deyo, his six children Brandon, David, Lacee, Mark Jr, Michael, Tonya, 13 grandchildren, surviving Family and Friends.
John 3:15 KJV: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

My dad loved the lake life, anytime he had a chance we would be at the lake with the family enjoying good times... he has gave me that love for the water that I have now been allowed to pass on to my children to build the same experiences that he is given me to remember for a lifetime. D.Deyo
