Mark Edwin Disselhoff, 57, of Adrian, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, MO. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Adrian, MO, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Mark's name to Daisy Dane Sanctuary, www.daisysdanesanctuary.com.
Mark was born July 15, 1966 to Robert and DonNeta (Morrow) Disselhoff in Kansas City, MO. When he was young, his family moved back to Adrian where he grew up and graduated from Adrian High School in 1984. Mark worked several jobs including time at at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and General Motors. He really loved being a firefighter and had hopes for a career doing that before his accident. He married Shelli Lynn Schellman on a memorable ice covered day, December 8, 2007, in Adrian, MO. Mark had many passions in his life, like being a mobile Disc Jockey for years and even being a host of sports section titled, Sports Nuts with Mark the Big Guy, on the Big Dumb Fun Show. Sports were a big passion of Mark's especially when it came to the Chiefs and Mizzou. He loved donning his Chiefs wardrobe and collecting miniature helmets which he had a vast collection. You could also find his companion, Zeus, a great dane, often by his side.
Mark is preceded in death by father, Robert Disselhoff, and sister, Robin Disselhoff. He is survived by his wife, Shelli (Schellman) Disselhoff; mother, DonNeta Disselhoff; his sister, Kendra (Gary) Tolle; his brother-in-law, Gary (Sherri) Schellman; his sisters-in-law: Tammy Algiere and Jeanine (Philip) Snider; and numerous nephews and nieces.
