Mark Douglas Dobson

Mark Douglas Dobson, 74, of Yuma, Michigan passed away December 12th, 2025, at his home. Mark was born October 16th, 1951, in Kingsley, Michigan to the late John and Carol (Hertz) Dobson.

Mark grew up in Kingsley, MI, later graduating from Kingsley High School. He served honorably in the Army, spending time in Vietnam. He worked at Leelanau Fruit for over 50 years. In 1994, he married the love of his life Brenda Marie (Dow) Dobson in Traverse City, MI, spending the majority of their time in Yuma, MI. Mark was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He was always happy when he could be in the woods or out on the lake. In his spare time, he loved to maintain his garden as well, growing a large one for the past 40+ years.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Brenda Marie (Dow) Dobson; his daughters, Jody (Carl) Woodcox, Nicole (Jamie) Mullin, and Angela Dobson; his 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings Diane (Jeff) Hanna, and Joe Dobson. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Carol (Hertz) Dobson; sister Laurie Babcock; grandchild Michael Woodcox; and grandparents John and Pearl Dobson. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with a date & time to be determined.
