David “Mark” Donnell, 69, of Robinson, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Mark was born on January 24, 1956, in Waco, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on November 17, 2025, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas, with the funeral service to follow as loved ones gather to honor Mark’s life and legacy.
He lived a life filled with purpose, good humor, and a strong love for the outdoors. A dedicated firearms enthusiast, Mark found peace and joy in shooting, whether spending time at the shooting range, hunting across Texas fields, or teaching others about safe and responsible firearm practices. He treasured the camaraderie, tradition, and quiet focus that came with the sport. Outside of shooting, Mark enjoyed fishing on Texas waters, cheering on his grandkids at every sporting event he could attend, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Karli and Cooper, and his cats, Lola and Louie. He had a gift for making others feel welcome, and his warmth, loyalty, and storytelling will be cherished by all who knew him.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Hugh Donnell Sr., and mother, Mary Lou Fugate Donnell.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Annette Donnell; his son, Nathan Donnell and wife Lorie, and granddaughter, Lyric; his daughter, Natalie White and husband Brandon, and grandsons, Ethan and Lane; Annette’s family; her mother, Jo Ann Cepak; her brother, Anthony Cepak and wife Mary; her sister, Cecilia Henry and husband Sam. Mark’s brother, Marvin Donnell and wife Janey; sister Shirley Hudson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or a charity of choice in his honor, such as those supporting veterans, youth shooting sports, or wildlife conservation.
