I didn't know Mark for very long, but what I did know and experienced first hand was his love for animals. I got to know Mark for about a year while he cared for my Mom and Dad's cat Sam. Who lived directly across the street from Mark. My Mom and Dad have passed so I was taking care of Sam, going there daily to visit and freshen up his water and food. Mark had offered to help me with Sam. He introduced himself one day while I was getting in my car after a quick Sam visit. I remember him asking about Sam, telling me "you know, they get lonely." I had told him, I was doing the best I could, but couldn't bring Sam to my house, due to my husband's allergies. He offered to check-in on him, and for the next year, he did just that. Every day, twice a day - rain, shine or snow (against my recommendation), he made sure he did his morning and evening visits. Little by little I got to know Mark, what he had done for a living, where he had lived, his amazing vacations and travel, but most of all he talked about his late wife, his undying love for her and the wonderful life they had together. I pray that he is reunited with the love of his life, and the wonderful animals they cared for. Mark, thank you for caring! RIP
