Mark Eastin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Summerville Funeral Home - Salisbury on May 27, 2024.
Mark Anthony Eastin, 57, of Salisbury, MO, passed away Sunday, Mary 26, 2024, at his home.
Mark was born on the fifth day of January of 1967 to Wilford "Peach" and Jane Ann (Hankins) Eastin of Salisbury, Missouri. In his early years, Mark attended elementary school in Prairie Hill before aging up to the middle school in Salisbury, where he continued his education and graduated in 1985. He was a member of the Prairie Hill Christian Church. Mark formally joined the workforce upon graduation - as he had already been working since a ripe young age on the farm. Mark worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Chariton County Road and Bridge Department for 17 years before joining the International Union of Operator Engineers Local 101. Mark's most recent accomplishment was being a part of the team constructing the new Missouri River Bridges at Rocheport. When not operating equipment at work, he could be found operating it at home for his son's business, Eastin Salvage, loading cars and scrap metal.
Mark was always proud of his family, and the memories of and lessons learned from him will live on for generations to come.
Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ralph Hankins, and his paternal grandparents Bill and Kathryn Eastin. Mark is survived by his maternal grandmother Wilma Hankins, his parents Wilford "Peach" and Jane Ann Eastin, parents-in-law Gary and Donna Turner, his sisters Jennifer (Clinton) Hammons and Whitney (Landon) Shipp, sisters-in-law Cindy (Jason) Lancial and Debbie (Aaron) Minor, nephews Joseph and Thomas Shipp, and Alex Kronk. Mark is also survived by those closest to him, his wife Sharon of 34 beautiful years, his children Brittany (Jordan) Perkins and Bill (Kim) Eastin, and his beloved grandchildren Kanan and Hayden Perkins.
A private graveside service will be held for Mark's immediate family. Memorials can be made to Larry's Warriors Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO.

I am so saddened to hear of Marks passing. He was the sweetest and kindest man I have ever known . He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. I worked at Cabury with him for years. He was smart, funny and very hard working. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by many I am sure. God gained an angel!
