Mark Joseph Fayette 54, passed away following a brief illness on September 6, 2023. Mark was born on January 13, 1969 at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Family was important to Mark. Known by many growing up as Hooch, Mark valued the special friendships he had throughout his life.
Mark followed all type of sports. He was a Miami Dolphin fan since childhood. He kept true to the Fayette household love of Notre Dame. He was happy to go fishing or play a game of darts with friends. He was skilled in cooking and grilling. He enjoyed telling stories multiple times.
He is survived by his siblings; Jeff Fayette of Newton, David (Deneen) Fayette of Wichita, Tom Fayette of Newton, Lisa Fayette of Newton, Heather (Sam) Fayette of Wichita, Ed Fayette of Newton, Robyn (James) Davis of Walton and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Donald and Barbara (Ainsworth) Fayette; his brother Sam Fayette; and niece Julia Marie.
Mark was loud and he was loved. Family and friends will miss him dearly and will always remember him simply as a good guy.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary prayed at 6:00 p.m.
Graveside Serivices will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Newton, with Father Andrew Bergkamp officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Caring Hands Humane Society and may be left with the funeral home.
