When recently speaking to a former fellow Gladbrook residence, I was told of this heartbreaking news. my belated condolence to the family. This past summer (2022) I traveled from California to attend Gladbrook's Corn Carnival. It was during the line up of the Grand Parade participants, Mark came up to me to say hello and do some reminiscing of old high school times. I am five years younger than Mark, graduating in 1975. Mark was always a caring person, someone who treated people with respect. He never looked down on us younger students, but always had encouraging words and a friendly smile. Mark left a lasting impression and I am so happy we had our chat. I am sorry this so late to the family, but please accept these words to realize how he positively impacted many life's. I am very thankful for knowing Mark.
