Mark Henningfeld, a beloved husband, brother, and dedicated professional, passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on June 8, 1969, Mark led a life filled with passion, laughter, and love that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was a proud graduate of Christian Brothers College, Mark then furthered his education at Phoenix University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology. He translated his knowledge into a successful career at Union Pacific Railroad, where he was esteemed for his commitment and hard work. His colleagues knew him not only for his expertise but also for his infectious sense of humor, lightening the mood even on the busiest of days.
Outside of his professional life, Mark's interests were as vast as they were varied. He was an avid model railroad enthusiast, spending countless hours perfecting his miniature landscapes. He was a skilled pianist and enjoyed music. His love for sports, particularly St. Louis Cardinals baseball, was a defining characteristic of his spirit. Mark took great joy in visiting as many Major League Baseball stadiums as possible, creating cherished memories at each one. Travel was another of his passions; he found delight in exploring the beauty of the United States. He and his beloved wife, Robyn Menne-Henningfeld, often enjoyed evenings together at the Fox Theater and The Muny, reveling in the shared experience of live performances.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife Robyn, who will forever carry the warmth of his love in her heart. He is also survived by his sister, Anne (Jamie) Wansing, along with many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and a circle of dear friends who loved him deeply.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Richard John Henningfeld, and his mother, June Marie Henningfeld. Their legacy lives on through the stories shared by family and friends, each a testament to Mark's generous spirit and joyful presence.
As we remember Mark Henningfeld, let us cherish his laughter, his passions, and the beautiful moments he gifted us. He leaves behind a world made richer by his presence, a legacy defined by love and camaraderie.
