Mark Hood went to the Lord on March 5, 2026.
Mark was born to Harold Paul “Jack” Hood and Twinkle Hood, along with his twin brother Chuck on October 18, 1962.
Mark would first want to be remembered as the father to Brittany Hall and grandfather to Barrett Hall, Buckley Hall and Beatrix Hall. He would also want to be remembered as a Christian and a devoted fan of the University of Oklahoma sports and the San Francisco 49rs.
His happiest work memories were of selling wholesale flowers across Oklahoma. He truly enjoyed getting to know his customers, their families and their pets.
Mark was preceded in death by Chuck, Twinkle and Jack. He was married twice, and both wives (Sandy and Kathy) also predeceased him. In addition to Brittany, her husband Brennen and her family, Mark is survived by his sisters Teresa Weimer and Tracy Shows, Tracy’s husband Chuck, his stepmother Carol, his uncle Mike Pope, his nephews Tyler and Zack and his nieces Amber and Melody. He will be greatly mourned by all his great-grand nieces and nephews.
His family wants to thank all the dedicated medical providers who took care of Mark over the many years he was battling illnesses and especially the wonderful staff at Norman Regional Hospital's intensive care unit who took care of him in his last days.
Mark will be cremated in a private ceremony at Oklahoma City Cremation. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
