Mark Frederick Karns, 79, from Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 22, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Fred and Mary Karns. Survivors include his Sisters Mary Lynn Garner (Gary), Tracie Dalsimer, brothers Chris Karns (Judy), Kent Karns and many nieces and nephews. His nieces Jennifer Karns along with Mary Stott were his caregivers during his last few years as he struggled with Dementia. Mark was a loving brother and uncle to his entire family.
Mark studied Marine Biology and used these skills when he joined the Navy in 1969. He enjoyed working with electronics and had a license as a radio telephone (Ham) operator. He spent a summer on an Alaskan research boat with the University of Washington tagging salmon. This is one of the memories he loved to share.
Mark had a strong faith in both his religion and political beliefs. He will be missed dearly. God Bless, and may you rest in peace.
