Mark Krebs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of Kansas & Missouri - Prairie Village on Jan. 29, 2026.
Mark R. Krebs, age 63, passed away on October 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Mark was known for his warmth, quiet strength, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. He approached life with steady determination and a generous heart, leaving a lasting impact on family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The most important foundations of Mark's life were his faith, his family, and the lifelong brotherhood he found in the Sigma Chi fraternity. He carried a deep love for his Creator, and his faith shaped the way he lived-guiding him to act with compassion, humility, and integrity. His devotion to family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with those he loved. His connection to Sigma Chi represented a bond of friendship and shared values that he held close throughout his life.

Mark also found joy in the places and traditions that shaped his happiest memories. He held a deep love for Estes Park-its mountains, peacefulness, and the sense of renewal he found there. He was equally delighted by the magic of Disney, a love he shared with his family and carried with childlike wonder throughout his life.

Throughout his career, Mark was known for his leadership and his genuine love for his team. He led with skill, empathy, and encouragement, inspiring those around him and leaving a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

Mark is survived by his son, Matthew T. Krebs, Matthew's spouse, Angelica, and his beloved grandson, Kane, for whom he held a tremendous and unwavering love. He is also survived by his daughter, Courtney Krebs, who held a special place in his heart. Additionally, Mark is survived by his sister, Kim, her husband, Bob, and his niece, Baylee. He is remembered as well by extended family, his brothers of Sigma Chi, and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, the memories he created, the faith he lived by, and the legacy of leadership, love, and friendship he leaves behind will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 12:00–4:00 PM at the Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse in the Rosewood Room, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, KS 66207. Family and friends are invited to come and go as they wish, share memories, and celebrate Mark's life.
