Mark Kucera Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dahl Funeral Chapel - Billings on Apr. 20, 2022.
Mark Edward Kucera, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2022, in South Dakota. He was born in Havre, Montana, on June 13, 1958, to Daniel and Mary Margret Kucera as the third child of seven siblings. For those of us who were lucky enough to know Mark, we witnessed what a fun-loving and hardworking nature he had. Being an avid lover of the outdoors, he was constantly on the go, traveling on adventures all around the world. He worked tirelessly for those around him, always willing to lend a hand or help a neighbor. Since his sophomore year in high school in 1972 Mark had been mastering his craft of car restoration, and his passion for it shined through. Whether it be his show cars in Monaco at Princess Grace's memorial ceremony or working on a project car at his shop on Montana Avenue in Billings, he put his heart and soul into everything that he did. No matter the strides he made in the restoration industry fixing up cars or his historical building downtown, the thing he was most proud of were his children. Mark loved Danielle and Frankie more than anything and put in the effort constantly to be near them and show them what it meant to be a loving and caring father.
Mark is received in death by his father Daniel, his mother Mary Margret, his brother David Kucera and his nephew Tommy Kucera. He is survived by his children: Danielle and Frankie Kucera; siblings and their spouses; Daniel and Courtney, Tim and Jeanne, Mike and Pat, Eva and Ed, and Margaret; his partner Ieva Bailey; and the friends he considered brothers: Robin, Rhett, Al, Jay, Scott, Ted, Ed, Clay, Sawyer, Dale, and Lincoln; and many more.
There will be a celebration of life on April 30, 2022, at St. Patrick's at 10:30 AM. There will be a reception afterward at his shop if the weather allows.
"Life is good." ~Mark Kucera
