Diane Marie Bocksnick, 68

Diane Marie Bocksnick, age 68, passed away on February 11, 2026, at Billings Clinic.

Born on January 13, 1958, in Ronan, Montana, Diane was the daughter of John Samuel Cisney and Loletta Pearl Yterhus, and sister to Steve Cisney.

Diane grew up in Ronan, where she attended school before continuing her education at the Helena Vo-Tech Center. In August of 1978, she married James (Jim) Roger Bocksnick. Together they built a life and welcomed three children. After moving to Kalispell, Diane began what became a lifelong career with the State of Montana.

Though she was committed to her work, Diane's heart always belonged to her family and to the animals she cherished. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her deep love of the land, and the way she found peace wherever ponies wandered, big sage bloomed, and the skies stretched wide.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, John Cisney.

She is survived by her mother, Loletta, brother, Steve and husband, Jim, and children:

• Jennifer (Bruce) Barstad, Nashua, Montana

• Geri (Patrick) Pump, Two Dot, Montana

• Daniel (Zoyla) Bocksnick, Kailua, Hawaii

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Katherine, Britany, Alix, Zoe, Emily, and James.

A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
